Chad Lewis Raising $10K on his GoFundMe.com for his 40th Birthday to Become an Interfaith Minister

on Mon, 03/19/2018 - 02:23

Among the many wild or wonderful ways to celebrate turning another decade especially 40 (or 50), how many are pursuing new careers or life paths in ministry? How about promoting peace and healing as part of one's life work? Maybe it's fairly common to consider the Possibiity of doing so. Likely many volunteer in a soup kitchen or treat someone to dinner, make an effort to donate time, talent or treasure.

Taking a more serious step toward a public commitment and outreach is not for the faint of heart.

Common Sense Needs to Rise to the Helm in More Homes and Schools, Whose Game?

Thanks  CT Rep. Brian Ohler, Rep. Esty and Many other community and state leaders for consistently looking for ways to improve our communities and the schools which are hubs of learning and growth for students, families and towns. I recall doing some outreach to the Sharon CT Selectmen a decade ago of more to create more public awareness about warning signs of danger and abuse.

What Insights Might be Gleaned from an Airline Hijacking to 9/11 events..and behind the scenes of other personal calamities?

Saw a show about deadly plane crashes..David Burke a disgruntled and clearly unstable airport worker was fired by his boss in 1987. When he did not get to return to his job after his appeal, he went to his locker and got a gun he had borrowed..a pistol that could shoot six rounds.

(In doing a little research now I learned he held up his estranged girlfriend and her 6 year old for many hours on a forced car ride only days prior..How come That wasn't being addressed?!

The poor woman and child...maybe she could have alerted the airlines..as she worked there too.

Tricky Topics but even trickier if not discussed. Plan with Support to Get Through Transitions (short-term or longer..or the final stages of life..) A letter to friends in the care fields and now you folks too

What would a step-be-step integrated questionnaire and flow chart of resources to check (with time table) look like..and a running tab for how much time and what costs may be associated with basics like temporary housing (month to month vs a lease if possible), food, transportation, supplies, support people to assist with moves and transitions (even short term recovery stays or visits to family etc.)

Seeing everything written down and having checklists for 'things that may apply to one's situation' and then get more particular info would be helpful.

Gun Violence and Abuse Related to Domestic Violence Dynamics and Legal Arenas (Laws, Courts, Broken Systems)

The following was printed in the Lakeville Journal CT March 1, 2018. I also added many other points. Thanks for all sharing in their circles to help more people become aware of 'bigger picture and dynamics' that affect us all. We need to understand our societal patterns and the silencing of victims and voices for advocacy that have deep roots in many systems.

Slowly we are waking up and perhaps by fighting these 'smaller meaningful matters' we will wake up in time to consider the larger pressing issues for us as a species. Consider also seeing talks by Barbara Marciniak on youtube.com.
