KIVA raised $3Million Dollars to help over 16,000 women in 62 countries keep or start their businesses! They had a matching grant so make the Six (6) Million Dollars. (Sounds like the 6 Million Dollar Man show of the 1970s only better since it's for real)

Getting lots more emails than I can keep up means I hardly open ones I havent' taken a keen interest in. Thankfully I got to learn about Kiva's goal to raise lots of money (with crowdfunding donations) for women in many parts of the world, some rich, lots poor (by world standards, yet likely some of the most esteemed folks on plan-it heart.) I wish I could say I donated and basically meant to, but didn't get it together.

I want to do a budget (as in YNAB.com -- you need a budget and plan how much I will donate to all causes combined and make sure it's not more than I earn.) I took a big leap in taking an online program with Suzanne B.O'Brien as a person who can help others at end of life or facing terminal illness (or likely other serious matters) in terms of making them feel more clear about options for support at home, to accept the life cycle and make plans for their care before, during and after the time of one's serious needs and transition out of this world.

She is offering a FREE basic training this month online with Replays (not sure how long they will be up, all in March 2017) and other free materials on her site. Do tell a friend and Check it Out (even to Help Yourself Have a Game Plan or two..maybe I've covered more on this blog and would welcome someone helping make a table of contents with posts and an index of topics...maybe each post could be numbered for easy reference.)

I have done a lot of caregiving for others around the edges of rearing my own children and helping in the community a fair amount. Usually I was on the Dream Team as it were, and some ideas took root while others seemed to be seed planting for the future. Then I took Permaculture Basics and got inspired by the many good efforts happening around the world without the need to go to a formal school for most people. Caring for others, the land, gardens, animals, saving energy, enjoying networking. I was finding my tribe and it was growing bigger by the state and country. The Climate anyone lives in affects their lives more than we've takent time to appreciate.

Ideally we can learn more together on www.gaia.org and other sites. What KIVA seems to be leading the way in is doing that grassroots networking online to help us all appreciate whose out there doing what and pitching in. Maybe I can promote KIVA here and count that as a meaningful donation. Some folks were only 25-200 dollars away from meeting their goals. Ideally another bunch of funders could pay those amounts with agreements in advance up to certain amounts to take the pressure off the hardworking applicants. It's people like me (and yes, you maybe0 who can't get to everything or ask others for donations readily to help good causes or even remember to pitch a topic on a blog site (I have about a dozen a day). But more folks doing 'a little something' as a youth minister in CT shared in a networking effort in that area, can make a Big Diff(erence.)

Now back to the Headline of $ 6Million Dollars being raised in one week through KIVA to help women (and of course their families and their economies) around the world. High 5s (or should I say 6's) and like that one bionic man or the Six Million Dollar Man of scientific television programming, the limits are being pushed and celebrated by the collective now, not just one guy here and there.
