Rep. Jeffries Secures $21.9 Million for Projects in Brooklyn

As our city, nation and the entire world continues to grapple with COVID-19 and the surge in cases connected with the omicron variant, I want to share some updated information and resources with you.

This money will help provide food for the hungry, fund overdue improvements to medical centers, support organizations working to uplift our neighborhoods, deepen our cultural understanding and more. To find out more about community project funding, please visit my website.

President Signs Law to Lower Costs, Create Jobs and Build a Better America

The legislation will also keep our government open and working For The People and deliver transformative funding to lower costs, create jobs and Build a Better America. The law contains more than $409 million for programs and activities authorized by my 2018 criminal justice reform bill, the First Step Act, and $50 million for community-based violence intervention programs.

When negotiating this legislation, we also made sure to include more than $13 billion in desperately needed humanitarian, economic and defense assistance to our allies in Ukraine as they fight Putin’s war of aggression.
