Thanks Sharon Robinson and husband Bill and his Band for upping the Thrill of Clinton Hill at the annual Block Party!

What can happen when a professional party planner and musically talented partner decide to throw a party (with donations from hundreds and raising the thousands needed to close down a street for a day in Brooklyn NY?) As in years past, there will be pony rides, bounce house, places to barbecue and vendors offering colorul wares...and Loud Music to remind people it's 'party time' in a family friendly way. While the whole world is thought of, mostly a few hundred folks from the immediate co-op neighborhood come out to play, eat, sit and enjoy the day. It's a tradition of many years standing and one that many areas cook up with their own style and set of smiles. In some towns carnivals and fairs are held to raise funds for the fire department or other local causes.

This event is mainly to enjoy the neighborhood and promote community values. Some political candidates stop in and enjoy as stage that is right in the middle of the road. Music by Bill Robinson and his band will rock the streets from 2pm to 3pm and again from 4pm to 5pm on Carey Gabay Way on August 5th, 2017. If you happen to read this, tell them you just couldn't stay away and feel free to make a friendly donation (10s and 20s are nice but More or Less is fine too.)

Get Inspired to help your local library, faith group, school, fire station or volunteer effort. Joining with others can get a lot of good things going and keep them running. If it weren't for Sharon and Bill Robinson along with other key helpers some more humble to be named but Charles and others who know who they are...the event and the many lives it brightens wouldn't be happening, particularly not on as grand of a scale. She needs to write up the play book for a dozen others to help out and train up to keep this show on the road. Take time to enjoy the outdoors and say hello to your neighbors wherever you find yourself today and keep an eye out for a bright idea and future for US-All! Play On!
