What a treat to follow up the happy, magical for kids and the young-at-heart Halloween Party at Center on Main in Falls Village on October 31st, 2019 with a rousting run and walk by people from Falls Village and neighboring towns, many of whom are part of the Run 169 Towns in CT Club.

In case you plan to join in an event there, that's in 'the old church next to the former Town Hall that is a large building with steps across the front five deep.

With my time in Brooklyn NY being colored in deep blue and purple hues of sadness from the Sheffield MA area, I feel grateful to have gotten through this week with a renewed sense of treasuring people and places in my life. It's not all rosy but I actually have people close to me with that name who travelled a few hours to see me and then scooted up to the hometown area to see Rip Van Winkle, a musical by Michael Berkeley at the Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Falls Village CT. I was fortunate to see one of the earlier presentations.

HVRHS 75 Years Young in 2014!

A quintessial rural high school, the first Regional High School in the state of CT, celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2014, with a special open house on September 20th, 2014 from 10 to 4pm for those not heading to NYC for the Sept 21st  #PeoplesClimateMarch.

The graduating class of '14 included two honorary women graduates from the some of the earliest classes after the school opened in 1939. Our family connections run long and many maiinly since the 60s when I was just arriving on the planet (over 50 years ago).
