Wishing Time for a Wonderful Happy New Year 2016 for US-All the World Over!

on Mon, 12/28/2015 - 21:42

After times of  December celebrating for days or weeks on end, like crossing a finisht line, it take another moment of focus to say "HAPPY NEW YEAR" come January 1st (or midnight on December 31st if one is really awake and able to do so). The Scoville Library in Salisbury CT is having an early celebration for kids and their families from 11am on Dec 31st, 2015.

That's one idea that could catch on quick for youth who want to celebrate but whose families may still feel a reasonable bedtime is in order. I will have the chance to be in NYC or more like Brooklyn.

That was on May13th, a birthday day for one friend who I got to visit with a few days earlier.

What's "Livfully" Blog All About? Cutting-Edge Ideas, Local and National Topics, and Creative Musings

on Wed, 03/18/2015 - 21:43

How can one blog address an array of topics, from the personal to the political, sometimes local and national to even global (and beyond..yes, talking about the nature of time, life, multiple lifetimes vs Yolo (you only live once) and questioning 'what happens in the great beyond').

Striking up a conversation on an important or even easy-does-it topic is not easy to do in person, and really few people have ways to meet folks 'outside their circle'. We all have some biases (and may be blinded to seeing in a more comprehensive manner by our biases).

CT Magazine July 2014 Highlights Erin's Law to Educate All Youth in CT About Personal Safety, At Last!

on Thu, 02/19/2015 - 15:20

There are many key aspects of our society and schools, faith groups and social groups that need a 'makeover'. Relationships are becoming better understood. The need for safety and respect is being highlighted. No one piece of information or policy will be a cure-all.

But everyone needs a fair start and support system for personal safety at home, work, school and in life. This includes privacy and awareness of sexual abuse which is what Erin's Law would cover for all children in school so if boundaries are violated, any child would have support in getting protection.
