A Few Deep Breaths and Considerations about The Tragedies That Befall Some (and Affect their Communities Far and Wide)

on Wed, 04/03/2019 - 15:14

Dear Northwest Corner of CT, and Tri-Corner MA/NY/ CT Residents and Visitors,
Our area has sadly been through the difficult unexpected violent loss of five people. Apparently one disturbed (and possibly depressed) man took the lives of his legal wife and their biological children in mid March of 2019. Many courageous volunteer rescue workers and police responded professionally, skillfully and compassionately.

The entire Sheffield MA community, particularly the local school and neighborhood of the amazing talented and caring mother and the twin 7-year old children who attended and their

Helping the Homeless One Person at a Time (but maybe with A Team Outreach to stay safe and not give to scammers)

A caring successful person posted about seeing a homeless person near her home and wanting to help. She posted his resume online and that's a unique approach. He had them ready and he seemed like a good guy on hard times.

So hopefully that can work. Ideally she could have made certain he'd not take advantage of her attention. We likely could think on the Do's and Don'ts of helping a stranger or even a friend and yes, even family.

Sadly I learned of one of the rare cases of a mother having the life of the father of their child ended on a Forensic Files show on TV. The 38-year-old was desribed at an excellent pediatrician and one of the possible motivations was for the mother to have sole custody as well as a $500 thousand life insurance policy (which she was using $200 thousand for to pay off two hit men.) Thankfully the forensic information linking the two hit men to the scene was available ( a sneaker print on tile, some blood and hair samples on a sweat shirt that was left in a hotel room along with the sneakers.

We can’t let a few (thousand) bad apples (madMen with Guns) spoil the bunch of US-All in the United States of A-Miracle…Yes, we need ‘mothers and others'(as Meryl Streep and Others noted to prevent the use of dangerous herbicides such as alar on apples..or at least warn people and encourage peeling and many other initiatives.

Maybe they can join the many fighting for Gun Control Laws and ReVisions… How can the existing networks collaborate effectively to reframe much of our societal woes and options to slow the destruction of people and plan-it heart?

One day to the next, one would-be winner wins a new vehicle in MA!

If you could enter to win a $40K vehicle, would you? If you had to pay the $5k in taxes, could you do so or find friends and family to loan it to you? What would you do with the vehicle of your dreams--share it, keep it for your own use (maybe including your family, etc), Give it Away to Family or Friend?

About 180 people (which maybe in the future could reflect more racial diversity by groups of various ethnic groups promoting the event in more local outreaches and additional notifications to qualify) had a chance to find out what they would do once they entered to win a Toyota Highlander
