Vassar

From Vassar (my college days in the 1980s) to Vassell (learning of a recent tragic passing 4-4-18 in Brooklyn NY)

Sharing to have a time of remembrance and reflection on the life of Saheed Vassell, who died yesterday in Brooklyn NY.

May his life journey now be one of peace and spiritual balance as that may play out for anyone crossing over. Many say holding positive thoughts of the person for three days can assist that spirit in their journey. May we all feel more aware and connected to all who have walked the earth as we learn of their journeys, challenges, personalities and circles of friends, even if seemingly isolated or in a time of struggle in life or near the time of their passing.

Remember playing hide and go seek and counting by 5s to let people hide? We'd call out, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 (boy the numbers were getting up there...what comes next? Oh yeah..) 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 (surely, everyone's got a good hiding place by now and it could be hard to know where to start looking since everyone hides so well in our big yard around the house along the woods even with boundaries one couldn't go past..) 95, 100! Anyone Around My Goal Is It!

What if we thought about the numbers as Years of Our Lives, counting by 5s and 10s... It dawned on me that I

This good news about Vassar College in Poughkeepsie in NY being in the NY Times for providing great aid to folks in need and promoting diversity was music to my ears.  I was happy to attend Vassar College (which was co ed by 1970) with a lot of aid back in the 1980s.  The news of more colleges aiming to be inclusive warms my heart as its a dream I have held for a long time, even since the 1980s when I realized Vassar and others were seeking to recruit capable African American students to attend in larger numbers.

Wonderful students showed up and encouraged each other and more besides. One of

In case you've not heard of a rather amazing Ski Jump Competition in Salisbury CT, let me mention it so you can see it live or online (try  SWSA and www.catv6.com) each February!

I'm looking forward to seeing the ice sculpting Sat morning and if it's not too cold, will take in the excitement of the jumps in the afternoon.

Celebrating the New "You" Year with Dannion Brinkley at www.dannion.org and on youtube

Having come across of one of Dannion Brinkley's books about being struck by lightning and needing to be revived back in the 1970s, I thought I'd see if he fulfilled some of the visions he had about starting healing centers as directed by Spiritual Beings during his 28-minutes before being revived and even since. Lucky for us, he has! I wanted to know if he were still alive and good news, he is!
