Watch for Abuse in every season...and practice prevention (even in your mind)

on Tue, 05/12/2015 - 15:49

Every season brings its joys and sorrows...as more people take time to garden outdoors, maybe they can tend to the
living situations people in their homes and communities face. The secrets can be hard to comprehend, the laws and courts
or programs to intervene or punish out of whack (often revictimizing women, moms and kids..and IF there are cases of
adult males being abused, they also can lose out..but the majority of real harm and control of a family falls to the male
perpetrators in a state and country..and the reality of courts is that they allow for that in custody cases all too often.

Yes, you may say, "Yes" to MAY--Miracles for All of Us, Yes!

on Sat, 05/02/2015 - 03:16

This year I was able to enjoy not only May Day and a pep rally complete with full moon, bon fire, drumming and outdoor band of youth grades 7-12 with their families and cook-out all enlivening the spirits of young and old...but got to wish someone close to me a Happy 50th and enjoy my own Special Day for 51 Year-Olds on this date, 5-1.

In the MA Shoppers Guide online, I will run an  ad for 5-7 and 5-14 to wish folks well (especially Moms who are keen on helping each other but they are an example for US-all).

In addition to the title of this post, I wrote up on a piece of paper as I have for

The Bridge Is Out! Kids are lost to courts, Abused Moms lose out too...and much more

 To the Editor:

What suffering when a bridge is out.  Everyone understands there is no easy way to cross it. Even when someone is told a bridge it out unexpectedly, as is recounted in The Wisdom of the Enneagram (about nine personality types) by Hudson and Riso, an obstinate driver may forego the warning and plunge to his end (along with his passengers). How can we advocate for personal and society safety on all levels?

What does it take to heed an urgent warning about dAnger whether about a road, a person who is not safe or a system than does not use best practices to prevent harm

What the Spring Peepers Whispered in My Ear for Y'all to Hear: It's Spring and Time to Sing (and Day dream about the Past, Present and Future Tomorrows)

Google some spring peeper or frog videos or photos of little critters enjoying this time of year and vernal pools. I have found tiny frogs on my car, on trees and of course on the ground. One toad was ready to hop in my house, staying on the slate patio. Some can be found on White Memorial Conservation Center in Litchfield CT.

Or see some books in the library and collect a few to have around the house for inspiration when it's hard to get outdoors, even a calendar can be a reminder of the great garden we share in nature.

Help Spread the New Kind of Cool: SLOW DOWN and Live! Thanks to Moms in May and Dads in June for Driving Reasonably!

My idea to share freely (but pls give me credit and a cut of profits...let's talk) is to have everyone consider their OPTIONS for driving or riding bikes to be Voluntarily Safer and More Conscious.

When you  are getting in your car, think of the Grateful Dead song..There is a road, a simple highway..and stay calm and drive reasonably, which for most will mean looking at their speedometer and slowing down to avoid a ticket which can run $100-200 and up easily, as can running a red light or stop sign..

Read on and Wise up as I've had a chance to do even with a minimal amount of driving in my
